So, girlfriend went to the specialist first thing yesterday morning. This Dr. sees the most severe cases and was not nearly as alarmed as her OBGYN. (Who told her she was funneling. She googled it, and there was not ONE happy ending that she could find).
Whew! Now it is just a matter of keeping her down!! She has an almost 5 year old, and an almost 3 year old. For her sake, I hope she goes on hospital bed rest. That is the only way that she will stay down and in bed!! Once that nesting instinct kicks in, it can be very hard to keep us girls down! I painted my nursery about a dozen times before I found the right shade of green...Hormones!!!

Praying for her!
I think that is what happened to me... funneling. My cervix shortened from 4cm to less than 1.8. I had an immediate surgery called a cerclage at 20 weeks. I wonder if she needs one? It is dangerous, but so is birthing babies at 20 weeks... they can't survive. I am PRAYING for your friend. She needs to do NOTHING but stay in bed. It's not worth it to unload a dishwasher or run an errand! I have been there. She can do it!!
I'm praying for your friend and her babies. Please keep us posted.
We missed you at the Dallas blog gathering! Did you ever get your tooth situation completely resolved?
