School "Paige? This is J's school. Everything is o.k. except J is going to have pretty bad black eye."
Me "Whew!"
School "Except he has this split open a spot above his eye and he is going to need stitches"
Me (palms sweating, feeling dizzy, panic setting in)"K. I have issues with blood, can you take him to the ER?"
School "Legally we can't"
Me "Let me find someone to help me, and I am on my way"
School "That's fine,he is loving the attention and is not even crying"
So I call everyone I know, and finally I am able to get dear friend J to help. (My fear is that I would faint while driving, and NO I cannot get over it!!)
So we get to the Dr. and it is time for the liquid stitches. All is going relatively well until Dr. says to let him up. Oops! The liquid stitches drips into his eye and he is really screaming. And I am really crying.
They got his eye partially open, but not all the way. So for the next week or so, we are stuck.
Below photo courtesy of the stitches he got this time LAST year. (On the other eye)

Oh no! I hope he is okay. I don't mind blood too much, but needles and I are not friends! I understand :)
Oh no, poor kid! Hope it heals quickly and he becomes "unstuck"!
Poor boy! I hope it does not scar too badly and his eye become "unstuck!"
Love your blog!
Ohhhh poor boy. I hope he is OK.
Ack! I hope everything is OK. I dont' do blood either. Or stiches. Or any of it. I nearly passed out (seriously, room spinning, sick to my stomach, sweating like a fool--in the dead of winter) when my husband had surgery last winter. Eww. Hope you're both ok :)
Oh no! I am so sorry Paige! I am glad you found someone to go with you!
Super cute pictures! Hope is eye is better!
Poor guy! You sound like me and blood. Luckily every time it's happened to us my husbands been there. I just have to stand outside asking what's going on.
My daughter, who at the time looked to be the same age fell at daycare and broke open her forehead. She was rushed to the hospital for 2 stitches in the middle of her forehead.
