Congrats
Congratulations to the Obama and Biden families. Wonderful concession speech, Mr. McCain. I was dissapointed that when Obama's name was mentioned people "booo'd"! However, when Obama mentioned McCain, only applause. Very dissapointed, indeed.
Just glad it's OVER! I almost cried during McCain's speech. What a gracious, thoughtful man. It made me sad for him. He is a great man even if I disagree with him.
I think they both had great speeches too! I am also glad its over, my phone has finally stopped ringing and I no longer have to hit delete for every message on voicemail.
i too was disappointed with the boos from mccain's supporters. but, in their defense, imagine the malaise they were all feeling at that moment, and in large groups, people often conform to the lowest common denominator. in the obama camp, the people were so jubilant that no one would even think to boo.
mccain was so gracious in his speech and he proved that he is such a gentleman.
I am a busy Mom of girl/boy twins. I was born and bred in Dallas. I love all things preppy, southern, and old fashioned. My goal as the Mom of a boy is to instill old fashioned manners that are sadly rare in todays society. For my daughter, I want her to have grace. My family wants me to make it through it all without losing my mind.
